Jhal NYC and MSG Kitchen (My Sweet Grandma) come together again for C.R.E.A.M. (Cash Rules Everything Around Me), the latest edition of Welcome to the Neighborhood.

This five-course dinner brings Bengali and Fujianese cuisines into conversation, exploring how food evolves through immigrant neighborhoods and how the solidarity economy sustains their communities.

The menu features taro fuchka with shiitake XO, chicken keema spring rolls, chili lychee chicken, Bengali-style Singapore mai fun, and fried rice cake in syrup.

Throughout the dinner, we’ll introduce each course and share the stories behind the food. Guests will also take home a limited-edition zine featuring photography by artist Mischelle Moy and a deeper look at the menu.

Each ticket includes a welcome drink from Hana Makgeolli: Honey Makgeolli or a Hongcho Sparkler (NA). Additional drinks will be available for purchase.

All meat served will be halal.
This event will be communal style, shared among 4-6 people.
